Is innovation an oxymoron of useful application? Can biohealth research be translated into concrete and efficient societal oriented solutions in a context where scientists are evaluated through their publication impact, their capacity to generate strong intellectual property and to raise funds for the conduction of their research programmes? Even though, the complexity of our system generates more questions than answers, data sharing, collaborative research and a huge process of synthesizing available information must be seriously initiated.
